Veggies can help to stimulate the fat burning process! Sounds crazy right? But it actually does.

The fact which is not known to everyone is that there are few chemicals in our environment and also in our food supply such as petrochemicals, pesticides and herbicides that causes an estrogenic effect inside human bodies.  And this affects both men and womcruciferousen.

These are called xenoestrogens. Exposure to xenoestrogens from chemical in our environment, food supply and water supply is a factor that stimulates our body to hold onto fat. In today’s world it’s very difficult to avoid such exposure completely even if you live in area with low pollution and eat organic food.

So now the question is how can I fight against these? Well, that’s where specific veggies can help.

There are different classes of spices, vegetables, and teas etc. that have compounds which can help to fight against the effects of xenoestrogens. Cruciferous vegetables such as kale, cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage etc. are the most powerful classes of vegetables.

The compound [phytonutrients] in cruciferous veggies that help fight against xenoestrogens is indole – 3 – carbinol [I3C]. And as a result help you burn fat more effectively.

So now you have one more reason to add these veggies to your diet.

There are specific teas, spices and other sources which contains these unique compounds. I will talk about those sources in my future articles.
